Divorce Magazine is launching a free monthly TeleSeminar series to help divorcing people get quality and highly relevant information from judges, lawyers, financial advisors, mediators, therapists and other recognized divorce professionals.

“Our TeleSeminar series is designed to educate and empower divorcing people as they make their way through the process and design a new life,” Dan Couvrette, Divorce Magazine’s CEO/Publisher and host of the new monthly TeleSeminar series stated. “Through our TeleSeminars, divorcing people across North America and the world can access quality education and information, which is their key to staying in control of their emotional, legal and financial issues, and making wise, long-term decisions.”

Topics covered by the TeleSeminar series include legal, financial, parenting, emotional issues and more. A different guest speaker is featured each month, starting with three inaugural TeleSeminars scheduled for December 2010, January 2011 and February 2011:

TeleSeminar #1: “The Good Karma Divorce,” features guest speaker Judge Michele Lowrance – Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 8:00-8:30 pm EST.

Judge Lowrance, author of the book “The Good Karma Divorce,” will explain how divorcing people can create an internal “moral compass” to guide them through the process. She will also share a frank view of what really happens in court, and the litigation nightmares that some divorcing people go through.

“I am thrilled to be the first speaker in this TeleSeminar series, because as we all know, the healing from the pain of divorce is a holistic endeavour,” Judge Lowrance commented. “The legal process by itself is not enough. Divorce Magazine recognized this a long time ago and now they are going to the next level of addressing the real needs of the people struggling in this arena.”

TeleSeminar #2: “Four Financial Secrets You Must Know About for Your Divorce,” features guest speaker Sharon Numerow, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and Divorce Mediator – Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 8:00-8:30 pm EST.

Sharon Numerow will share financial advice that every divorcing person must know, property issues in divorce, why a 50/50 property split isn’t always equal and what to do about it, how RRSPs, pensions, and other investments should be handled during divorce.

TeleSeminar #3: “How to Prepare for a Child Custody Evaluation,” features Steven A. Mindel, Family Law Attorney and Certified Family Law Specialist – Tuesday February 8, 2011 from 8:00-8:30 pm EST.

Steven A. Mindel will discuss how divorcing parents should prepare for a child custody evaluation, what they can expect during the interview process, how to make the right impression, how to explain the process to the children, how evaluators use the information they gather, and the impact of the report on judges and their decisions.
