Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) September 02, 2011
Divorce Magazine celebrates its 15th anniversary in its Summer/Fall 2011 issue by featuring a powerful, emotional and intimate collection of divorce-inspired art and divorce-related stories contributed by readers and blog visitors.

The unique call for contributions was launched earlier this year by Divorce Magazine owners Dan Couvrette and Martha Chan in an effort to help readers express themselves, heal some of their wounds, and connect with others who are traveling on the path of divorce.

“Both Martha and I are artists,” commented Dan Couvrette, whose artwork is featured at DanCouvrette.com. “We appreciate the therapeutic value of art and writing. Interestingly, I never painted prior to my divorce. But after I started, I was amazed at how cathartic the experience was. We hope that the art and stories featured in this issue play a role in helping people around the world make it through and beyond the often rocky path of divorce.”

Also in this special 15th anniversary issue is a fascinating interview with two experienced judges – one from the US and the other from Canada – who reflect on changes in divorce and family courts over the last 15 years, and suggest what the future may hold.
In addition to the issue’s special 15th anniversary section, the magazine offers insightful and informative articles for divorcing people and those supporting them, including:

  • why playing the victim in a divorce costs more than most people imagine
  • how to deal with the reality of shared parenting
  • how parents can help their children adjust
  • the factors to remember when negotiating a divorce financial settlement
  • how to choose a winning divorce team
  • how to enable a peaceful divorce
  • how to have a successful divorce mediation
  • how to recover after divorce
  • …and more timely and topical articles

Readers will also find helpful divorce FAQs, listings of local family lawyers and other divorce professionals, and useful divorce-related websites.

“We can say in all humility that while divorce has its dark tunnels, it also presents a unique opportunity to start anew,” commented Martha Chan, as she reflected on the history and growth of Divorce Magazine over the past 15 years. “We all have control over whether we take the high road or the low road. And, if you ever find yourself in a position to support someone through their divorce, we hope you’ll find it as rewarding as we have to make a positive difference.”

The special 15th anniversary issue of Divorce Magazine is available now. In addition, Divorce Magazine’s online knowledge center, located at http://www.DivorceMagazine.com, contains a wide range of divorce-related articles, news items and other resources. Access is free and no registration is required.
