Divorce Magazine, a leading magazine that features divorce-related articles, advice, tips, FAQs, profiles of local family lawyers, resources and more, has launched a contest for the most inspiring divorce stories, Art and Creation.

For Immediate Release

(PRWEB) January 31, 2013

The contest for most inspiring divorce stories is free to enter and is open to all people living in any country. It is designed to help people heal – regardless of whether their divorce journey is behind them, occurring now, or on the horizon.

“We are looking forward to receiving stories of how people handled or are handling their divorce in an exemplary way, or how they or someone they know turn to paintings, music, humor, videos, movies, or any other form of creativity as part of their healing process”, commented Martha Chan, Divorce Magazine’s Editorial Director. “We accept entries by way of written words, videos, and any other creative way they may think of.”

We will choose the top 5 entries, and each winner will receive a copy of Rebecca Rotenberg’s “Flying Solo: a Colorful Glimpse at Being Single Again!”, a compilation of charming and funny cartoons that depict life after divorce. “We chose this book because it is funny and is a demonstration of how the author used humor and art to help her heal after her divorce,” said Martha Chan. The 5 Winners will also have their entry featured in Divorce Magazine and on DivorceMagazine.com.

Our Mission

“Our mission is to help make divorce more civilized and compassionate for everyone involved,” commented Dan Couvrette, the Publisher of Divorce Magazine, and also an artist who appreciates the healing aspect of anything creative. (His paintings are featured at http://www.DanCouvrette.com.) “And an important part of that process is to heal from the emotional and psychological wounds that are caused by divorce, whether it’s one fraught with confrontation, or one that’s relatively amicable. Divorce is never easy. By asking people to share their stories and creativity, we invite them to heal themselves – and help others.”

How to Enter

Individuals who wish to enter Divorce Magazine’s contest can submit divorce stories of up to 600 words about their own divorce, or about someone else’s, such as a parent, friend or relative along with related art work, music or videos.
